Hi lads,
Have grown fed-up of my PS3 as an SA-CD and BDR source as the noise from the fans has grown just too great.
Not much money to spend but can order a Sony 370 today at rock-bottom price or, for 40 squids more, buy a 470 or 570.
Any opinions on these machines welcome. Any advantage in shelling out for the dearer machines? _________________ A diehard SA-CD fan

Not up on those models.
But I would say you should give your PS3 a good vacuuming (being careful to stick something in the fan soit does not spin at high speed because fo the vacuum and tweak its bearings).
It can make a substantial difference in fan activity. I gave mine a thorough cleaning when I had it open to upgrade the HDD a couple months ago (mine is a launch model). Fan kicks into high about 1/2 as often now. |

Do that regularly, only has a short-term bearing. _________________ A diehard SA-CD fan
