Anyway. I'm currently working on combined Stereo/Multi-ch DSD discs, a complete copy of SACD for PS3. |
Thank goodness I was delayed in my experiment
Can I confirm with you again:
1) Extracted DSF cannot be subsequently compressed to DST.
2) If I extract mch DST to DSF, the resulting DSFs will be uncompressed
Thanks again!
(PS: please let us know your progress with combined st/mch DSD discs! I hope you can do compression to reduce disc space to 1 single layer DVD-r) |

Sorry, no compression. But a combined stereo/multi-ch DSD Disc is a reality. Just create two folders under DSD_DISC (e.g. Stereo and Surround) and two playlists (Stereo.ddp and Surround.ddp) and you get a complete copy of SACD material on a DVD-R/RW DL. This copy sounds identical to the SACD original and is playable on any PS3 model.
The only missing thing is album graphics tag in the multi-ch part. Hope mp3tag.de will help us to resolve this.. |
