Likely, next month at CES 2012 Sony will announce a range of new SACD-compatible Blu-ray Disc players (with typenumbers like BDP-S390 and BDP-S490 and up, predictably) but like this year's range, they may not support DSD Disc format.
A real ES series component would more likely be introduced at CEDIA in September but this year's announcement was rather a letdown. See http://www.ps3sacd.com/news.html#_20110912
We're still waiting for a sucessor to the SCD-XA5400ES and the BDP-S5000ES, hopefully integrated into a single component. |
