I would buy a PS3 if I could find one that supports SACD.
What I own:
An Xbox 360. I actually won this and spent 2 months getting
one that worked, otherwise I would not have bought one.
PS2 (which actually outputs 1080i)
Nintendo Wii, and Gamecube
No PS3 and mostly due to the wait on the whole format war on HD-DVD and Blu-Ray. But, now there are no 80gb Ps3's that support SACD anywhere to be found. This a major point to me upgrading.
The only other reason I could fathom would be to use a PS3 to do that folding at home project.
Otherwise I have plenty to play on for games..
Please keep the SACD and update the HDMI to DSD. SACD has been around for many years now and no reason that it should not cost less fo this capability. Keeping the audio capabilities at a high end can only be good and help when looking to use those other audio formats on Blu-Ray discs.
Otherwise, no 40gb version for me, will just wait for Blu-Ray dvd players to drop in price |
