Now if only the PS3 would output a DSD stream, wouldn't this be a lovely device to feed it to?

It might make a great combination with Marantz' AV8003 and MM8003 amps :)
PS: odd that a Google search for the Sharp AD-X1000 gives no (proper) matches.
Is this a primarily professional product? The 19" rack mounting holes suggest so. |

A look at the back would tell, if it has AES/EBU XLR inputs rather than RCA, but even just the rack mounts suggest it is as you say.
Still, pretty cool.

And rather than either of those it should have HDMI input but I doubt it has. Although on the other hand it must have some way of acquiring the DSD signal. It's more likely Sharps uses i.Link though. |
