PS3 & CD Text

Considering even iTunes supports this feature and all of the attention that went to the audio side of the PS3.. its strange Sony never added this feature.

Remarkable indeed, especially considering Sony appears to have been pushing CD-Text all along, with support in CD players -- and, notably, SACD players -- as well as on CD albums published by Sony Music.

Of course, this is something SCE could quite easily add in a firmware upgrade.

Perhaps one of the considerations was that PlayStation3 doesn't have its own display.

I recently purchased Mark Wyand's Sony Classical German album and noticed the CD Text logo on the disc, and when I placed the CD into the PS3.. it normally consults a data base but there was no record of it.. at least if the PS3 had this feature.. it could used it as a fall back.
the trouble is, i'm not sure where I can send suggestions ..
Apparently there is a major upgrade at the end of this month.. next week?
I will add the suggestion to the playstation.blog site when the next upgrade is discussed.

Well, you've posted it here. With a bit of luck they're reading this (though, of course, they can't possible follow every forum on the web about PS3).
