I bought the Dark Side of the Moon SACD to play in my PS3. Nice. Until I tried to skip a track, and then to FF. In fact, the PS3 did not respond at all to the remote (BD remote). So I tried the sixaxis. Still no response.

I've searched in here but do not see any posts on this.

Anyone have any ideas as to what is wrong? How to "fix" it?

Mine has worked fine with that and many other SACDs for over a year.

Maybe it became unpaired from the machine somehow? Is it working with DVDs/BDs?

Does the remote (or the SixAxis) work with regular CDs?

I'll have to test that out tonight. No time to do much last night.

Yes, the remote control works fine with CD's. As does the 6-axis - if you know which button does what! Fairly intuitive though. Logical, that is.

With regards to hard-drive based music, you need to interact more, i.e. use the PS3's XMB menus.

Sorry, I meant navychop's situation specifically, not the functionality in general. Thanks for responding anyway.

OK, reporting back in.

I went thru the settings and checked everything. Looked over all connections. Made sure the sixaxis was fine. In other words, I have no idea what I did, but it works fine now. Both the sixaxis and the BD controller. I get a fleeting error message on CDs and SACDs about error reading (track info?) but the track labels are displayed and the controls work.

And I've never heard Dark Side with such clarity. Onkyo 805. PS3. And Klipsch. ESPECIALLY "Money." I'm going to have to schedule time this weekend to zone out on a few of these discs.

And FWIW, Blade Runner's opening is REALLY impressive.

Thanks for all the input.

I have same electronics as you, but Tannoy speakers. I prefer the SACD's playing out at 88.1kHz with Audyssey engaged. Wodnerign if you have tried that and what you think? I tried the SACD's putting out at 176.4kHz (which the Onkyo cannot process via Audyssey), and it sounds maybe warmer, but not as "clean".

Isn't that how the navy fixes all their electronics? play with it until it works and then have no clue how it was fixed? Very Happy
