I voted for The Joshua Tree. I wish I could believe these reports (see other thread) but it seems Universal has put this project on the back burner.

Can't understand why London Calling, a Sony release isn't on SA-CD. That other chestnut from the 80s, again a Sony release, 'Diamond Life' by Sade ought to have been a prime contendor for an SA-CD reworking.

Well for some reason the poll won't let me vote. But I would have voted for Sgt. Pepper hands down. With all they did with multitrack and stereo mixing that, doing it in multichannel would have been a no-brainer if it had existed at the time.

I go for Floyd's The Wall, but I would love to hear all Kraftwerk albums in SACD. That would be awesome

Nirvana, but so hard to choose. Would love to see them all in 5.1 sound.

Despite DVD-Audio being more pop music-oriented than SACD, the latter format scores better with 21 out of 100 compared to DVD-Audio with only 8 (if I counted correctly):

There are persistent rumours Wish You Were Here will be reissued on SACD.

The fact that the date mentioned has already expired by three months sounds like a bad sign though.

I see some Pink Floyd albums (including WYWH) here with release dates listed as 07/07/2008. Unfortunately they're listed as plain CDs.

Hmm, rumours about WYWH SACD are endless. It was already rumoured by the time they released DSOTM 30th Anniversary, 5 years ago. I wouldn't wait it with much hope... I guess they are making enough money with the recent boxed reissues...

Anyway, we should stay in tune. Gilmour is again (once again) playing with the possibilities of a new one-off reunion. Waters obviously loves the idea.

I still wanna see them live...

This isn't completely relevant, but I amuse myself with the idea that if they released a multichannel version of The Clash's Sandinista it might actually be listenable. The whole thing. If Atlantic can release Rough Mix on Dual Disc I can't see why this isn't possible. Another one would be Pink Floyd's The Final Cut. It's practically in surround sound already.
