*well, the previous Bond movie Casino Royale did feature some Sony Blu-ray Disc players but no PS3 and no SACD either.. |

Not intending to bump this thread just for the sake of it but they (MGM) put up a new, much longer trailer this week. There's no new URL to post -- it's right there on the 007 homepage.
By the way, the US (and Canada?) release has been pushed back from November 7 to Nov 14 (for reasons explained here) while the UK premiere is already on October 29. |

Almost certainly it's because of the usual jockeying for best position/week to open it.
Opening weekend box office has become the make-or-break benchmark for releases here, and with Harry Potter having vacated the November release period, there are still ripples as everything else moves and settles down.
It should do quite well though. I think Craig is the best bond since that Scottish guy they used to have aways back. |

Here's a new mini-trailer/featurette/documentary about (the making of) the game:
http://kotaku.com/5076680/becoming-bond-quantum-of-solace-trailer
I saw the movie in the cinema yesterday. One of the visual things that struck me which I recognize in this trailer was the information manipulation at MI6 headquarters:
- Minority Report-style interaction
- WipEout-like visuals
- performed on a giant 'surface computing'-like desk top (i.e. not floating in the air like in the above SciFi movie)
Oh, one other thing one cannot fail to miss is the extremely fast editing. I cannot recall seeing any other movie with so many scene cuts and such short shot duration. |
