The Ultimate Matrix Collection, released as a 10-disc box set on DVD a few years ago that I had to get all the way from the US is finally about to be released on Blu-ray Disc.

It'll be a 7-disc BD box set with all the extras from the 2004 DVD and 2007 HD-DVD releases, with The Matrix, The Matrix Reloaded and The Matrix Revolutions all in 1080p high-definition and Dolby TrueHD 5.1 audio, plus 'In-Movie Experience' visual commentary. Interesting extra: a Digital Copy of The Matrix for use in portable devices. I wonder if this will be compatible with PSP.

It's a cool edition but I think the box doesn't look as nice as the DVD version.

Thanks for the heads-up. I was wondering when this was going to be released on Blu-Ray.

I recently watched the trilogy with my girlfriend (who had never seen it before), and I was reminded of why I still consider these my favorite movies.

I expect it to look fantastic in HD.
