No I'm not sure what XKCD is, either. It sounds to me like an audiophile RBCD variant but that's probably because of XRCD and K2CD.
Anyway, I stumbled upon this elsewhere and thought it was appropriate (and funny :)

The artist made up the name, has no real significance.
