Good family pic. Nice to see Dreamworks putting out a title where story and character are center stage, and no "edgy" humor and shotgun cultural references to be seen.
Everyone I know has enjoyed this movie, including my family. Not original particularly, but nicely written and executed, with good voice casting all around.
They've also stepped up their game on the quality of their CGI, as well as the cinematography of the movie. Also felt their character animation was uniformly better than in their previous efforts.
Technically, the blu-ray is fantastic. Image quality is beautiful and sharp with no artifacts I noticed. And on the audio, there are some low end FX that were amazing. Deep and sharp.
Unless you just don't go in for kid friendly animated movies like these and Pixar stuff, definitely a title worth picking up. |
