i got all excited today when i saw some billy joel sacd on amazon. until i searched for piano man and came up empty  wtf? is this available anywhere on sacd? a soundtrack? sampler? anything? i'm not a huge fan of his but that is a damn good song. dire strats has brothers in arms out. elton john has good by yellow brick road out (in 2 sacd forms), genesis and depeche mode have every friggin album out. but why no piano man for billy boy? |

Apparently. There are only four Billy Joel albums out on SACD, three of which can be considered regular albums.
It's remarkable that Sony didn't release Concert (the Moscow show) on SACD, which was such an important album for CD. Wasn't it the first-ever album released on CD?
It's a pity that Piano Man is not available on SACD. Similarly it would be great to see (or rather hear) She's always a woman. |
